My groups National History Day Project will the be the idea/innovation of Blues music. Blues music was a gate way for African-Americans to express their sorrow and frustration of the United States without causing harm to anyone. It was soon accepted and even gave influence to many cultures of people and evolved into Rock & Roll. Rock & Roll was blues baby. Rock & Roll would not be around if it weren't for blues music. Blues music has been around for hundreds of years and has evolved from a form of music considered "black" music to one of the most influential forms of music of all time.
